Why the Constitution matters..

The Constitution was written by the original thirteen states. The federal government created this in order to maintain a well governed society. It wasnt until the states delegated some powers to the new federal government, that those powers belonged to the states. The Constitution states that, " We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." Which basically means that all citizens should be lead by a book of rules in order to keep the US running smoothly.I feel as though without it, our nation as we know it today, would not be the same.In order to maintain a decent government there needs to be one person, or in this case one set of laws to regulate the system. This document, I feel, have paved the way for America and without it there would be no civil guidance or functional governments
