An eye for an eye....

I am a firm believer that a person conviced of a murder, rape, theft, or an arsonist should be sentenced with the death penalty. Why should they have the right to live when the victim can no longer continue with their life wether it be good or bad. So they sit in prison without a care in the world, only to have the guilt resting heavy their heart, that, in itself, should be punishment alone, but for someone with such a motive, that just isnt enough. For them to potentially gain up the strength to escape and bring harms way back onto the streets shouldnt be legal. True, this serves as cruel and unusual punishment and cost tax payers a bundle of money, but you should also keep in mind all the useless things our money is going towards.Ill allow you to think.._________.Exactly! People would rather contribute to game show expenses than to help keep our streets clear of potential murderers.the nerve of those people..Ohh,and while your at it, also think of the message that it sends to those who want to engage on activities of the sort. Bet they'll think twice now wont they.

President Carter: Former President, Jimmy Carter, Made a statement with allegations that the only reason for the attacks against Obama, are because he is an African American when South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson made an outburst during Obama's speech to Congress last week and in some of the opposition the president has faced since taking office. "It's a racist attitude, and my hope is and my expectation is that in the future both Democratic leaders and Republican leaders will take the initiative in condemning that kind of unprecedented attack on the president of the United States". I Firmly agree because since Obama was elected President, he has been getting every rock in the world thrown at him, for the simple fact that he is a African American- Democrat at that!

Kanye West: On September 13, 2009, at the VMA Awards, Kanye West made a very rude outburst during Taylor swifts acceptance speech,by basically critizing her vidoe of the year award. TRUE, our First Amendment provide us the freedom of speech, press, religion, assembly and petition, but you should know when things are appropriate to say or not. Meaning he is entitled to his own opinion, but I feel as though he is very disrespectful and that in order to express your FREEDOM OF SPEECH you should first: Think about what you should say before you say it, think about how this may affect you and your career (which is why he made the apology in the first place), and make your statemaent actually be worth the publicity. It isn't a one-sided story because regardless tto gender or race the incodent was uncalled for.

&& Obama speaks...

September 8,2009 President Obama addressed the students across the nation about education. His intentions were to capture the youth and aid them with useful advice pretaining to their future, and to those who were allowed to watch it, I feel as though they got a good understanding of what they are capable of doing and how they can achieve their goals. I feel as though this election year, teens are more so envolved because of the ethnicity of our new found president shows how diverse the nation is becoming and that mabey they can actually make a difference. This in fact was a monumental monment because no other president has ever tried to reach out to the student-And for that matter during school were kids are forced to watch it. What i got from this speech is that as long as you are driven and dedicated to succeeding in life, it wont be very hard to do whatever you set your mind to.

Locke Social Contract...

When getting a contract, you must first read, agree/disagree, and decide whether or not you wanna sign or move on to the next deal. John Locke decieded come up with his own contract which basically states the rights that he believe should be giving to the people such as laws, guidelines, and agreements designed for the good of the people. All he really tried to do was the create the best plan for citizens, and in return, they simply had to sign on the dotted line.

Why the Constitution matters..

The Constitution was written by the original thirteen states. The federal government created this in order to maintain a well governed society. It wasnt until the states delegated some powers to the new federal government, that those powers belonged to the states. The Constitution states that, " We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." Which basically means that all citizens should be lead by a book of rules in order to keep the US running smoothly.I feel as though without it, our nation as we know it today, would not be the same.In order to maintain a decent government there needs to be one person, or in this case one set of laws to regulate the system. This document, I feel, have paved the way for America and without it there would be no civil guidance or functional governments
